| Introducing the iMobile PC
iMobile is proud to announce the release of their iMobile Lite and iMobile Executive Mobile Computing systems. These in-vehicle personal computers open up a whole host of entertainment and in-car office features.
iMobile Lite is the world's first Car PC solution built from the ground up with both home computing and vehicle comforts in mind. All of the company’s systems are dedicated to retaining user control and convenience within the automotive environment. Satellite radio controls, digital media player, integral DVD player, and vehicle controls are just some of the features available in their Lite edition. Step up to iMobile Executive to add OEM-grade automotive navigation, integrated scheduler, and address book to an already powerful in-car computing platform.
Some of the things that make iMobile unique includes power management that automatically turns the system on with ignition and, more importantly, performs a proper Windows “shut-down” when the car is turned off (or can allow the user to keep the unit on after the ignition is shut off.) It will even perform a shutdown when the voltage becomes too low, to prevent damage to the computer.
The iMobile PC monitors the headlight circuit and automatically switches from day mode to night mode when the headlights are on to make the display look better in all lighting conditions. The unit is a fully integrated system, not just a shell that launches other Windows programs. The components work with each other, so for instance, when a user switches the program from XM to media player, it will switch the audio source at the same time. Another example is when the navigation is active and another component is playing audio, it will automatically mute the audio so that the navigation can give a voice direction, then un-mute the audio to continue listening.
Using the application launcher, the user still has easy 1-button access to any Windows program that they might need and the iMobile PC can control up to 6 electrical devices in the vehicle by giving either a timed, pulsed or toggled ground. These devices can be programmed and labeled individually and accessed from their own screen.
As you can see, this is not your ordinary 12 volt upgrade. It would be beneficial to be able to offer customers something that’s interesting and useful. Computer systems begin at less than $1500 MSRP. Touchscreen monitors begin at $450 suggested retail price. The iMobile PC Dealer Program offers retailers a significant profit opportunity in addition to profit from installation labor.
