SANFORD, ME – Approximately 1,400 spectators braved the heat and pavement for the 10th Annual Bikini Car Wash and SLAP Show Sunday, July 30th. According to Jack Bogard, 135 cars registered in the SLAP show.
“The car wash was a donation towards MDA, and we raised $500,” Bogard said. The girls from Encognito provided the washers (www.encognitoent.com), and the ladies from Prestigious Models were on hand to sign autographs and pose for pictures. FHM Magazine feature girl Erica Ramos was with them – www.pmgirls.com www.myspace.com/missericaramos. “ I also had the rock band, ‘I’, performing live from on top of the www.themonsterbus.com,” Bogard continued. “They did three sets and totally rocked the house (www.wearei.com).” Bogard said the newest addition to his show was www.nwacoldfront.com, who were wrestling in a16x16 ring. “The guys were crazy,” he said, “but the crowd loved them.” Alpine, Kicker and Kenwood had manufacture reps there with demo cars and product giveaways. The Rap group M-Dot from Boston also performed. The guys from the Vertical Outlaws did motorcycle stunt riding. And SkyDive New England was here. The Radio station The Bone conducted a model search for the upcoming Bone Babes calendar (www.boneradio.com). “The store was hopping with sales of up to 40 percent off product and free installs on head units and speakers bought that day,” Bogard concluded.
